Training on developing smart agricultural initiatives and finance management for FRG

On the morning of September 17th, the VOF Project Management Board of the Son La Provincial Farmers Union in collaboration with ADDA and Panature, organized a training course on writing smart agricultural initiatives and finance management for members. Farmer Responsive Group in the target project areas comes from Van Ho, Mai Son, Thuan Chau and Yen Chau districts.

 

The training course aims to support ethnic minorities to increase their resilience to the impacts of climate change in the North of Vietnam. In addition to building smart agricultural models, the project also has small grants to members and farmer responsive groups with the expectation that these small grants encourage FRGs. Participants boldly come up with ideas to benefit groups and communities, turn ideas into actions to build models, model agricultural village.

During two-day training session, participants were equipped with skills such as: Development of small grants initiatives among farmer responsive groups; criteria for evaluating and selecting proposals, building ideas of agriculture production to adapt to climate change; general rules of small grants in the project to FRGs; proposal writing instructions. The process of funding disbursement; guiding the management of financial books and vouchers for FRGs; Monitoring and reporting mode of implementation of funding proposals.
