ADDA and Vietnam Farmers' Union sign MoU for the period 2015-2020

On August 22, 2014, in Copenhagen, Denmark, ADDA and the Vietnam Farmers' Union (VNFU) signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) on future cooperation on the development and implementation of new projects in Vietnam for the period 2015 to 2020. The event was a great success and marked another important milestone in the efficient and solid cooperation between ADDA and VNFU. In addition to the VFNU delegation and members of the ADDA Board, the signing ceremony was attended by the Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark, the Honorable Lai Ngoc Doan. 

Since 1996, ADDA has been a long-term strategic partner of VNFU in Vietnam in its continuing efforts for hunger eradication, poverty alleviation, improvement of living conditions for a large number of farmers among remote and marginalized ethnic minorities through setting up sustainable and efficient models of production, technology transfer and business, as well as strengthening capacities of VNFU staffs and farmers. Over the past 20 years, ADDA and VNFU have jointly developed 9 projects in Vietnam with the budget totaling over USD 13.7 million. Speaking at the ceremony, the VNFU Chair, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, affirmed that the signing of the MoU would provide a solid foundation that would bring the friendly and efficient relationship of the two parties to a new level filled with potential prospects and success.
